500 seems like a lot and to be honest, it is a lot especially when it comes to car seats. This September, we are running our Buckle Up Baby appeal sponsored by Dr Josephine Cheung Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the hope to secure 500 car seats that we can re-home to vulnerable children in the community. Often we are asked to provide a car seat so that the family are able to take their baby home from hospital and over the past 12 months we have provided over 900 car seats to vulnerable families.
A car seat is an essential safety item that many of us take for granted. For so many vulnerable families, they have no way of accessing this critical safety item without your help. Our waitlists are growing and the need is escalating. This is why we are running our Buckle up Baby appeal sponsored by Dr Josephine Cheung Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
We are extremely excited and grateful to have Dr. Josephine Cheung onboard as the major partner of Buckle Up Baby 2021. Dr Josephine has partnered with the Baby Give Back Buckle Up Baby campaign to raise awareness and promote a safe and happy start to life. As an organisation championing a cause close to her heart, Dr Josephine is excited to contribute to her community by supporting Baby Give Back. She is the proud sponsor of the Buckle Up Baby campaign and is committed to ensuring all babies and children have access to the essential items they need to have a safe start to life. Dr Josephine has worked in major hospitals across Queensland throughout her career, as well as for the Flying Obstetric and Gynaecology Service in Roma. She is a cheerful, down to earth person who has, through her profession, dedicated her life to the health, safety and happiness of women, children, and babies.
There are a few ways to get involved from donating your pre-loved car seat that is 8 years old or younger. You can also make a financial contribution which allows us to purchase a new car seat or get a group of friends together to chip in to purchase a new one.
The gift of a safe and secure car seat can ensure a baby can safety travel to medical appointments, to childcare and to make memories with their families.
