This year, Baby Give Back has defied all odds and continued to be there for vulnerable children.
On one hand I am so proud and grateful to our volunteers and community but on the other hand, I am truly worried and scared for the coming weeks and months with the weekly demand on our service increasing to unprecedented levels and many families preparing to cancel Christmas.
We currently have orders for 240 children that need to be filled before Christmas. These are vulnerable children who should be thinking about what they want for Christmas but in reality for most of these children, they can’t wish or ask for anything.
This is why we have launched the Baby Give Back Christmas Appeal 2020 as we urgently need to raise $30,000 to help 240 vulnerable children and their families.
I was recently reminded of how life changing a gift from Baby Give Back can be to a child and their family. I was invited into the home of a mum with seven beautiful children who recently received support from Baby Give Back when she welcomed her twin boys. Katelyn spoke so bravely about her struggles to leave her abusive relationship and the incredible love for her children.
This year has certainly been different and I am sure most of you, like me, are ready for a new one but before the calendar ticks over, we have children to help.
