Wilson Foundation supports a Lismore hub for Baby Give Back

The flood waters that swept through Northern New South Wales may have dropped but the sheer scale of the resources and recovery that is needed throughout the region is only going up as residents continue on with the heartbreaking task of a clean up like they have never experienced.

Our incredible team at Baby Give Back have been working tirelessly through sorting through donated goods, processing requests from flood affected families, working with community groups and charities and most importantly, delivering the essential items directly into the hands of those who need it most.

With trips being made almost daily from our Brisbane and Gold Coast warehouse to Northern New South Wales, our Operations Manager, Lauren Joyce experienced and witnessed first hand one of the biggest hurdles in getting items to the families and organisations who have reached out to us.

"Transportation both to the region and within the region are the main cause of delays in enabling us to get requested items to where they need to go." Said Lauren. "Through our work and collaboration with local businesses and organisations within Lismore the need for an established hub was turning into the most obvious solution in how we can work even more efficiently with local residents and for local residents."

As an organisation it is important to us at Baby Give Back that we are able to support the recovery of Northern NSW for the long term.

This week we are excited and humbled to announce that thanks to the incredible generosity from the Wilson Foundation, we are one step closer to setting up a hub in Lismore, which will enable every child and their families to have access to the essentials they deserve.
The Wilson Foundation are supporting this by donated $50,000 in matched funding. This means, for every donation we receive, they will match it to the value of $50,000.

We are so grateful to the Wilson Foundation and everyone for their support and trust in our work and look forward to sharing our progress on this important project with our community and supporters in the coming months ahead.
