Baby Give Back Limited (BGB, and in this statement ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. During the course of our operations, we collect personal information. The primary purpose for which we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information from you varies but is generally to provide you with charitable services or engage with you as a donor, supporter, volunteer, employee or third party service provider. We may also collect, hold, use or disclose personal information for other purposes that we expect to be within your reasonable expectations and related to the primary purposes of collection. This may include asking for support or donations, providing updates and alerts that are relevant to our activities and invitations to events. 

We do not receive personal information about families from the support service agencies we work with. We only receive personal information about families we support if a family contacts us directly to request assistance or provide feedback. We do not use any such personal information for fundraising or marketing purposes.

Our usual process of collecting personal information is to collect the personal information directly from the individual concerned. We may also collect personal information from other sources, such as support service agencies, through referrals from individuals or other entities, marketing and business development events, competitions and fundraising activities and other online profiles such as social media platforms. We will only collect the personal information from these other sources if it is necessary to provide you with the services, or you have instructed us to collect your personal information from those sources.

If a family contacts us directly to request assistance or to provide feedback, and in the course of doing so provides sensitive information to us, such as health needs or personal circumstances, we would only collect such information to the extent required to provide assistance and where the Privacy Act permits, and we would handle such sensitive information with particular care.

The information is usually collected before and during the course of providing the charitable services to you.

If you do not provide us with the requested information, we may not be able to provide you with the charitable service or otherwise engage with you. In some cases, it may be possible for you to provide us with some but not other personal information, or to remain anonymous when dealing with us. You can ask us if this is possible before you give us your information.

Your personal information may be disclosed by us to other entities, such as our external auditors and other professional advisers, contractors, suppliers, employees, government bodies (such as regulatory authorities, relevant departments, etc.), other service providers that assist us with our activities, third party technological providers and other third parties as appropriate.

We do not routinely send personal information overseas. However, some of the third-party platforms we use to run our services may store or process your personal information on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
